Key information

Enterprise education is coming to the forefront of many school agendas with its focus on helping students develop entrepreneurial, life and employment skills to prepare them for lives beyond school, usually with an emphasis on financial capability, enterprise capability, and economic and business understanding.

Enterprise Day will be a whole-day event running from 8.30am — 3.30pm and will open with a Q&A session involving a guest panel of entrepreneurs including Tru Powell, a multi-award-winning creative entrepreneur and publicity expert, and Lexi Willetts, founder and CEO of Little Black Door, a social media app. They will share their experiences of running a business from finding a product idea and obtaining finance, to market research, selling and challenges they have faced along the way.

The students will then take part in an exciting Dragons’ Den-inspired activity which will test their business acumen. They will work in small teams as they plan and design a product, alongside developing effective advertising campaigns. They will create a pitch to present to a panel of experts, who will challenge their funding model, product and teamwork before a winner is ultimately

We will be leaving school at 8.00am by mini bus and I anticipate based on traffic we will return to school approximately 4.15pm. Please ensure your son can travel home safely on his return to school if you are collecting your son please park in Upper Thomas Street.
