As part of their enrichment sessions, your son’s has been taking part in fortnightly drama workshops with one of Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s practitioners to introduce them to the subject of drama and develop their skills and understanding of the performing arts.

Last term they were looking at contemporary plays and familiarising themselves with script and directing, this term they will be looking at classic adaptations, starting with Tartuffe. The trip will be an exciting and important way for them to experience a live performance of a classic text and will inform the next few weeks of workshops, as they will explore the script in session and perform and adapt sections together with our practitioner. We are also arranging a potential meet and greet with the actors post-show which will give the students a chance to ask professional actors questions about their experiences and the play.
