The Big Sleuth photo of launch 2017

Earlier this year, our Year 7 boys had the chance to enter a competition to design our Bear cub for The Big Sleuth organised by The Schools of King Edward.  Saied’s design won!  His design features lots of traditional sweets and he has named it Gummy Bear.

Saied with Ms Smith painted the bear and sent it off to begin the trail around Birmingham. Today we were invited to be part of the launch of the bear cubs at Millennium point.  We had a fantastic time.  We got to hear lots of speeches from sponsors and we also got to hear how all the money raised will be donated and benefit Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Saied even got the chance to pose with The Lord Mayor of Birmingham of Birmingham. Said’s bear cub can be found in St.Martin’s Church, Birmingham now. The main Big Sleuth trail is to be launches over the coming weeks. Thank you to all Year 7 for entering the competition and I hope you can get involved finding the Bears over Birmingham this Summer.
