Teacher of English MPS1 - UPS3 required for January 2024 (or earlier for a suitable candidate)
A management responsibility for Head of House is available for interested candidates (TLR 3.8 currently £2,442pa with annual review)
We are seeking to appoint a permanent teacher of English to teach in this selective 11-18 Grammar School for Boys. The successful applicant will be required to teach English from KS3 – KS5 and the ability to teach KS3 Drama would be an advantage but not a requirement. We currently have a Head of House vacancy as outlined above. This may be of interest to candidates looking for promotional opportunities in pastoral care. Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career including ECT and RQT.
As a grammar school, we are privileged to work with able learners with a thirst for knowledge. However, it is equally important to note that successful applicants would join a school with kindness and integrity at the heart of our values system. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive school in which you can develop the love for your subject and share it with keen learners. Further benefits of working at Aston include a tailored CPD programme, opportunities for secondment with the MAT, an excellent free fitness studio and inspirational colleagues who share a passion for teaching. If you have any questions or would like to visit the school before submitting an application please do not hesitate to contact us on 0121 327 1130 or vacancies@keaston.bham.sch.uk
