  • Food technology resource contributions

2. Discretionary Funding Allowance

PP Allocations for parents by R Pierce
Families will continue to have access to a discretionary fund that can be used flexibly for:

  • Travel to and from school (including public transport and Endeavour coaches)

  • Enrichment activities and trips

  • Residential trips (up to one per year)

  • Essential school items such as shoes, coats, and sports equipment

3. Dedicated Support for Music Tuition
We are committed to broadening access to music education. A separate fund is reserved to help cover the cost of music lessons for Pupil Premium students. Interested students will be invited to apply, and funding will be allocated to support as many learners as possible.

Pupil Premium funding also supports a range of initiatives that benefit all eligible students, including:

  • Enhanced careers guidance

  • Pastoral support

  • Revision resources

  • Targeted academic interventions

  • Support for participation in the Duke of Edinburgh programme

Commitment to the King Edward’s Promise

This funding model reflects our commitment to the King Edward’s Promise: that no student at Aston should be prevented by financial barriers from fully accessing our curriculum, enrichment opportunities, and wider school life.
