Key stage 3

In years 7, 8 and 9, all pupils study the full breadth of the curriculum including lessons in  Art, Fine art and Photography, BiologyChemistry, Computing, Technology(Design, Food and Engineering,  English with drama, Geography, History, Mathematics, Music, Physics, Physical education and Games, PSHE, Religious education and two languages chosen from French, German and Mandarin.

A discrete lesson of PSHE is taught in form groups once per week and delivered by the Head of year in Year 7 and a PSHE specialist teacher in Years 8 and 9.

Reporting and Assessment grades

At Key Stage 3, the reports cards will represent student’s attainment using four indicators - Exceptional, Above, Inline, Below. Students who are working significantly below the expected level will be identified by X in Concern column.

Each subject has designed their assessment grids to reflect the progress throughout the school year and Key Stage 3. Assessment grids can be accessed via department pages
