Absence due to illness

To report your son’s absence due to illness, please do this via Studybugs by going to https://studybugs.com/ or clicking the banner above.

Alternatively, you can e-mail studentabsence@ast.kevibham.org or telephone: 0121 327 1130 selecting option 1.

Please ensure your son's absence is reported before 9 am on every day of his absence.

Unavoidable planned absence

To request a planned and unavoidable absence (e.g. hospital appointment, funeral etc) this can be done via Studybugs by going to https://studybugs.com/ or clicking the banner above.

Absence for religious observance

Generally, up to 2 days' absence an academic year will be authorised for religious observance if the day concerned is exclusively set apart for religious observance by the religious body to which Parents and pupils belong. This absence must be requested in advance by completing a leave of absence form (below). For major days of religious observance (e.g. Eid), parents will be asked to make a request via a dedicated email address which will shared shortly before the date of the observance.

NOTE: Requesting leave of absence does not mean that absence will be granted.
